The Stories Behind the Songs

The release archive has been expanded with something I've wanted to add for a while: the stories behind the songs.

Many releases now include a short essay about where the idea came from, how the track evolved, and the experiences or thoughts that inspired it — along with lyrics and more detailed release information.

If you've ever wondered about the stories behind the music, there's now plenty more to explore.

"Never Meant To Be" Out Now

The latest Fredlite single, Never Meant To Be, is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Driven by a powerful supersaw lead and emotional vocals, the song combines classic pop songwriting with uplifting trance influences. At its core, it explores the moment when letting go of a relationship also means letting go of the story you've been telling yourself.

Started Building the Fredlite Live Experience

Over the past few weeks, I've started work on what will eventually become the Fredlite live set.

The focus so far has been on selecting songs, adapting them for live performance and exploring how they might fit together as a continuous show. It's still early in the process, but the first pieces are beginning to fall into place.

More updates to come.

New Remix Project Underway

Alongside work on upcoming Fredlite releases, I've recently been spending time on a remix of a song that has been a favorite of mine for several years – Blood & Muscle by Lissie.

The original is a sparse and emotional piano-driven power ballad. My version takes the song in a very different direction, transforming it into a progressive trance anthem.

The project is still evolving, but it's already taking shape.

Fredlion Makes His Debut

On April 1, Fredlite briefly announced his retirement from trance music following a profound artistic awakening during a trip to Jamaica.

The new direction included a new name – Fredlion – and a reggae-inspired debut single. While the project was short-lived, the song itself somehow became a reality and can still be heard below.

My new collaboration Stay with Mirkka Liesmäki is almost ready to drop – and I can't wait for you to hear it.

This one wasn’t easy to finish, but the end result was definitely worth the struggle.

New Collab in Progress

Working on something special. I recently teamed up with Finnish singer/songwriter Mirkka Liesmäki, and we’re currently deep into a new track called Stay.

It’s shaping up to be an emotional progressive trance piece about love, broken promises, and trust falling apart. Mirkka’s vocal has a raw, honest feel—really excited about where this one is going.
